KNOWING YOUR CATS HEALTH

While forming a good relationship with your veterinarian is important to know what is normal for your cat is crucial to their health and wellbeing. As a parent with a child, you will learn what is the strange behavior of his cat and you might be able to help your veterinarian to discover the source of the problem of your cat's health.

Note that a healthy cat has the following characteristics:

* Eyes - bright and clear, with no signs of irritation or discoloration of red or yellow. Make sure there is no evidence of tearing or cloudiness. If the download is up in the corners of his eyes, clean with a cotton swab moistened with warm water.
* Boca - Pink, healthy gums, without redness or swelling at the margins of teeth, bad breath and no sores or growths on the lips.
* Ears - Clean and free of odor and discharge. Check that the ear mites. For more information on mites Ear mites see below. Use cotton balls (cotton swab sticks) moistened with water for routine ear cleaning. Ask your veterinarian to show you the first time. Be careful, your cat's ears are fragile.
* Nose - Clean and free of discharge or sores.
* Shield and body - the soft body with thick, shiny hair, silky. Feel for lumps and ticks, see the crest of the fleas, greasiness, dandruff or bare lots.
* Ano - Free swelling or evidence of internal parasites. For more information, see the following internal parasites.

During a routine exam your veterinarian should check your cat's eyes and ears, listen to your heart and breathing, feel your abdomen and hand, and inspect the mouth of the disease and tartar build up.

The veterinarian may require such tests as the examination of a stool specimen for internal parasites and blood tests to discover the disease. regular tests and vaccinations are especially important during the first year of a kitten's life.
